Glazed Kitchen Cabinets
Glazed Kitchen Cabinets can help add a traditional drama to your kitchen or bathroom but will also be warmer, feel more antique, and less modern.
The darker and more lines/layers you do of the glaze, the more dramatic the effect becomes.
This antique look and drama lead to the room feeling much more expensive and curated.
Below are the two glazing options we offer:
Antiquing:
Shading a second color over the cabinetry and wiping back the excess to give it that shading effect. This creates a unique style of your very own. A glaze slightly changes the original color of the stain or paint to create a subtle antiqued look. An antique glaze cabinet finish is crafted by applying an accent color over the already stained or painted finish for added depth and dimension. The glaze is then hand wiped off all flat surfaces as it creates a darkened highlight along profiles and corners to accentuate the details of your doors drawers and cabinet style. The glaze adds a subtle wash of color to the base stain or paint color, while slightly darkening the overall color.
Pinstripe:
A pinstripe line can cleanly accentuate the details of the cabinets. This is typically done with a darker color and is added to only the grooves of the cabinets. You can add as many lines as there are groves on your cabinets to really make the details pop out. An accent glaze cabinet finish is hand applied over the already stained or painted finish with a small brush to the profiles corners and edges of the cabinetry. It is designed to accentuate the details of the cabinets with a clean line while not affecting the primary base stain or paint color.
